News and Important Onsite Media and Industry Analyst Information

Media Center and Hours

The Media Center at Mobile World Congress Americas offers media working facilities and an interview lobby which are available exclusively for accredited press and industry analysts. The Media Center is located in the Upper Level of the LACC in rooms 308 and 309.


Media Center Location – Working Facilities
Located in room 308, the Media Working Facilities offers working accommodations exclusively for the use of registered media and industry analysts. The working facilities include desk areas, Wi-Fi and fixed line Internet connection points for laptops, printing capabilities and more.

Media Center Location – Interview Lobby
To facilitate reporting from the event, the GSMA will offer a courtesy open lobby area, equipped with 10 four-top tables. Located in room 309, the Interview Lobby is available for exhibitors, media and analysts to conduct interviews on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are a member of the media or analyst wishing to conduct an interview in the Interview Lobby, you must accompany those being interviewed in order for them to gain access to the space. Exhibitors must be accompanied by a member of the press or analyst to enter.

As this is a courtesy offer to show attendees, interview sessions should be limited to 30 minutes each. It is prohibited to reserve or claim a table for day-long use as this is a shared space for show attendees and accredited media and analysts.

* Please note that the Media Center includes working facilities for media/industry analysts only; there are no meeting rooms or lounge areas available there. **Please note that press/industry analysts have access to the exhibition floor only during Mobile World Congress Americas opening hours.

Filming/Photography

Filming of keynotes and conference sessions is prohibited at Mobile World Congress Americas. Please be aware that filming equipment will not be allowed into the auditoria. Individuals found using filming equipment within the conference sessions may be asked to leave. The GSMA will stream the keynote presentations live and make selected video footage available for the media during the event and other video content will be posted to Mobile World Live following the event.


The GSMA informs that only official event photographers will be allowed unlimited access in the keynote auditoria and use of alternative positions during these keynote sessions. We will also convey, on the day, of any further limitations or restrictions regarding photography as requested by individual keynote speakers. Selected photographs from official event photographers will be made available to the media via the event website.

Broadcasting from the Event

Pre-Registered Media and Analyst List

The pre-registered media and industry analyst list for Mobile World Congress Americas is available as a benefit to exhibitors, sponsors and partners. The list is accessible exclusively through the Online Event Manual; the MWCA PR team does not email this directly to exhibitors, sponsors and partners or their PR agencies. The GSMA does not make the list available to general attendees. Further, the event manager at the exhibitor/sponsor/partner company will be responsible for providing the press/analyst list or the log-in details for the Event Manual to their PR support teams as appropriate.

Press Conference and Meeting Rooms

Press conference and meeting facilities are available to exhibitors for meeting with media and analysts in the LACC’s Media Center. The rooms vary in size and can accommodate groups of 8-24. Rooms will need to be rented in advance in order to be reserved for private use.
