What does my pass type give me access to?

What are the event registration opening hours?

There are two onsite Registration Areas: the Moscone North Hall Lobby & West Hall Level 1 Lobby

What currencies do you accept?

Payment for Exhibition, Gold or VIP passes will be accepted in U.S. Dollars (USD) only.

What credit cards do you accept?

We accept MasterCard, Visa and American Express as well as bank/wire transfers.

Can I pay by bank/wire transfer?

Yes, wire transfers are available for USD payments for Exhibition, Gold or VIP Passes.

In order to pay by bank/wire transfer you will need to select the ‘Submit & Payment’ option when registering.
Please allow enough time for your bank/wire transfer payment to be completed, as processing can take up to ten working days. If the transfer has not cleared prior to your arrival onsite you will be expected to provide an alternate form of payment. Badges will not be provided without full payment of registration fees.

Please note: Approximately 10 days prior to the event, the option to pay by bank/wire transfer will be removed in order to allow time for payments to be processed.

I have received more than one invitation to attend, what should I do?

You only need to register once to attend Mobile World Congress Americas. If you have already registered and you receive an invitation for a pass which provides you more benefits than your current registration, please contact the contact center at registration@mwcamericas.com. Details on pass prices and benefits can be found here.

Is there a minimum age to attend Mobile World Congress Americas?

Yes. The minimum age to attend Mobile World Congress Americas is 18. This is strictly enforced. We set up the age restriction to ensure a professional atmosphere for our attendees and exhibitors.

Any requests for attendees under the age of 18 must be made in writing to registration@mwcamericas.com.

What is the Cancellation or Substitution Policy?

ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Cancellations, as well as ‘no shows’, will be liable for the full registration fee. No refunds will be given. Cancellation of air travel reservations and hotel reservations are the exclusive responsibility of the registrant, regardless of reason or cause.

Substitutions between attendees from the same company and at the same invoice address may be made by providing the GSMA with written notice of the name of the original attendee and full details of the substitute attendee.

To arrange a substitution, please e-mail full details to registration@mwcamericas.com. Please quote “Pass Substitution MWC Americas 2017” in the subject line of the e-mail. The new attendee will receive a Confirmation email once the substitution process is complete. Please allow a few business days to complete this process.

Substitutions are not allowed once a badge has been issued onsite.

Will you mail me my badge prior to arrival?

We do not send out badges prior to arrival, nor do we allow third-party badge collections. Each attendee must present government issued photo ID and pick up their own badge onsite. Acceptable forms of photo ID are a passport, driver’s license, military ID or national ID card with photo.

Can I collect a badge on behalf of my colleague?

No, we do not allow third party badge collections. You must collect your own badge in person. You will need to bring a copy of your Final Confirmation email with QR code and government issued photo ID (passport, driver’s license, military ID or national ID card with photo) to pick up your badge onsite. This applies to all Mobile World Congress Americas registrants.

Where do I collect my badge onsite?

Can I register onsite?

Yes you can, however we strongly recommend that you register before arrival to avoid lines when you arrive.

Who can attend Conference Lunch?

Only VIP and Gold Pass holders are entitled to the Conference Lunch. Information on passes can be found here.

What is Mobile World Live, and how can I join?

Mobile World Live is the online portal that serves as the voice of the mobile communications industry. Through our growing community base, you can connect with mobile enthusiasts and professionals worldwide. Mobile World Live video content is updated weekly and brings you exclusive interviews with some of the top mobile executives in the world.

If you want to join this online community now, visit www.mobileworldlive.com or log in to your registration account, click on “Update your personal information / contact preferences”, select ‘Yes’, select your language preference and then “Continue”.

Can I print (or reprint) my registration invoice?

To print your invoice click here to access your
registration account, then select “Download your invoice/receipt”.

I would like to purchase more than 10 passes. Is that possible?

We are offering a new group purchase package when 10 or more Gold or VIP passes are purchased at one time. If you are interested to learn about what is included in this package, get in touch with us today.

Registration Assistance

I don’t have an e-mail account to register. What should I do?

Those wishing to attend Mobile World Congress Americas must have a valid email account in order to register.
Once you have successfully registered, your confirmation, key updates and information on where to pick up your badge will be emailed to you prior to the event.

Is there a deadline for registration?

We do not have a deadline for registering for Mobile World Congress Americas. However, if you are an international attendee and require a visa, please leave enough time apply for a visa to enter the U.S. Therefore, we highly recommend that you complete your registration as early as possible.

When will I receive a registration confirmation?

Once the registration is completed, you will receive a Final Confirmation email with QR code for badge collection. Your Final Confirmation email must be brought with you onsite to collect your badge. Only fully paid registrations will be sent a Final Confirmation e-mail.

How can I change my contact details after I have registered?

You can log in to your registration account at any time to view your registration and to update your personal details (Attendee e-mail address and Last Name cannot be changed). You can access your details by logging in with your user name and password provided when you first registered.

I have forgotten my password. What should I do?

If you have forgotten your password, visit the registration website, click on “Forgot Password?” and enter the email address you used to register.

Do I need an invitation to attend?

No, an invitation is not required. Some attendees are invited to attend by exhibitors or partners. If you don’t have an invitation, just skip over the code entry area when registering, then select and pay for your chosen pass type.

If you have received an invitation to attend, a Registration or Discount Code will be in the invitation e-mail, along with instructions on how to complete the registration process using this code. Please refer to that email before beginning the registration process.

How do I register to attend?

To register, follow the steps below:

  • To begin your registration click here.
  • First “Create an Account”.
  • If you have received an invitation to attend and have a Registration Code, copy the Registration Code enter into “I have a code” field.
  • Click on “Check”.
  • Follow the instructions to complete your registration in full.
  • Accept the Event Terms & Conditions.
  • You will then receive your registration acknowledgement by e-mail.

Visa Invitation Letters Information

Do I require a visa to enter the U.S.?

The U.S. government recommends you reach out to your local United States Embassies or Consulates-General first for travel information. In addition, they provide information on U.S. visa requirements.

How do I obtain a visa invitation letter?

GSMA’s registration partner can provide you with a visa invitation letter for you to submit along with your visa application, should it be required. After registering for Mobile World Congress Americas, you can log in at any time to request a visa invitation letter through My Registration. Please note your registration must be completed and full payment must be received before your visa invitation letter will be issued.

Neither the GSMA nor our registration partner takes responsibility for the issuance of visas. It is the responsibility of attendees to ensure they allow sufficient time for processing the invitation letter or visa prior to travel to the event.

If you do not require a visa, please do not apply for visa support. We will not issue a visa invitation letter to attendees from countries that do not require one.

Note:

  • We are unable to provide assistance with visa applications beyond supplying the invitation letter.
  • Only fully paid and/or complimentary registrations will be granted visa invitation letters.
  • Additional information can be found in the Terms & Conditions listed in the Registration System.

I have received my visa invitation letter but found some information to be incorrect, what should I do?

Please send the correct information, a copy of your passport information page, and your Registration ID to registration@mwcamericas.com.

Exhibitor, Partner and Sponsor Registration Inquiries

Exhibitors and Sponsors will be contacted by e-mail with information on how to access the GSMA Exhibitor & Partner (E&P) Invitation System. Please note that login details for your E&P Invitation System account will be different from your registration account.

How do I register?

Anyone wishing to attend the event, including registration coordinators, must register using the GSMA Exhibitor & Partner Invitation System. To invite guests or register your own staff, you will need to access the E&P Invitation System.

How can I invite or register my staff and guests?

Exhibitors and Sponsors will be contacted by e-mail with information on how to access the E&P Invitation System, which enables you to manage your pass allocation. You will be able to invite attendees to register or register your own staff, guests, VIPs and contractors.

For more information on the invitation system and your pass allocation, please check the Exhibitor Manual.
Partners who do not have access to the Exhibitor Manual will be contacted directly by the GSMA Partnership team with further information.

I am working on/at a stand. Do I need to register?

Yes, all attendees, exhibitors and event participants must register. Please contact the Registration Coordinator of the Exhibitor or Partner for whom you are working. They should provide you with a Registration Code and instructions on how to register or confirm that your registration is complete.

Press/Industry Analyst Registration Inquiries

How do I register as Press/Analyst?

If you are a member of the press or an industry analyst and would like to attend Mobile World Congress Americas, please click here.

Media professionals/industry analysts wishing to attend Mobile World Congress Americas 2017 should review the accreditation criteria. For questions regarding press registration, please contact a member of the GSMA Press team.

Once you have applied for accreditation, the GSMA Press team will review your application. You will be notified by e-mail if your application is approved.

What does a Press/Analyst Pass include?

A Press/Industry Analyst pass provides access to the 3-day Conference Program, the Exhibition halls and the Media Center. More details will be included in your Final Confirmation email.

I applied for Press/Analyst Accreditation and am still waiting to hear if it has been accepted.

The review and approval of press applications can take some time. We attempt to respond to accreditation applications within 5 working days of receiving your application. Once your accreditation application has been reviewed, you will receive e-mail notification. For additional questions regarding your application, please email the Mobile World Congress Americas Public Relations Team.

I have not managed to register pre-event. Can I register onsite?

We strongly advise Press/Industry Analysts register prior to the event, as the accreditation process onsite does take time. However, Press/Industry Analysts registering onsite should proceed to the dedicated Press registration desk.

GSMA Members Inquiries

GSMA Member Discounts

GSMA Members are eligible to receive a 30% discount on VIP, Gold and All Exhibition Pass for Mobile World Congress Americas. The Organization ID is required before you begin your registration to receive the discount. Please do not begin registration until you have your Organization ID at hand.

  • Log into InfoCentre2.
  • Click on “My Organization”.
  • The Organization ID can be found underneath the Organization Name and Company introduction.
  • In order to receive your discount, you must supply your Organization ID prefixed with ‘MWCS’ during registration (i.e. if your Org ID is 12345, enter ‘MWCS12345’, if your Org ID is less than 5 digit, i.e Org ID is 12, enter ‘MWCS00012’ into the code box on the first step of the registration process).

I am speaking at the conference. How do I register?

Conference and Keynote speakers will be contacted by the Speaker Management Team with instructions on how to register. You can contact the team directly at speakers@mwcamericas.com.

If you are speaking at an event or program other than the official conference program, please contact the organizer for that event for instructions on how to register.
