Chief Business Development Officer, North America
Chris Stark is the Chief Business Development Officer for Nokia Networks in North America. He is responsible for identifying and driving new business opportunities in the region. Chris’s latest efforts focus on network densification and he completed the successful acquisition of SAC Wireless and the development of a 3.5 GHz eco system for shared spectrum access. Chris serves on the board for several standards and advocacy groups, notably ATIS and the CBRS Alliance.
Prior to joining Nokia in May 2010, Chris served as an executive-level interim management consultant to start-up telecommunications companies. In this role, Chris advised his clients on business strategy, Sales and marketing, especially growth strategies, pricing and competitive analysis.
He previously held CEO and President executive positions at Turin Networks, Luminous Networks and Alcatel. As President of Turin Networks (Force 10), Chris led the team responsible for all sales, sales support, marketing and product management for 600 global customers and achieved 650% growth over two years culminating in the sale of the company to Dell. As CEO of Luminous Networks, he helped reposition the company in the market, expanding its customer base and sold the company.
As Group President of Alcatel Optics, Chris led the business to achieve $2 billion in revenue in North America, growing its share of the optical market and leading a number of acquisitions.
Chris holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Plymouth University in the United Kingdom. He is based out of the Nokia Networks Irving, Texas office.
